Anna started her career as an International Aid Consultant working in developing countries including Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Nepal establishing micro-enterprises for women to be financially independent.
After decades of philanthropic work, she saw the opportunity to use her entrepreneurial skills and create something of her own, founding the KASMIRI luxury cashmere brand. Despite the challenges of establishing a sustainable luxury brand in a world dominated by fast fashion, she persevered.
She partnered with her talented women artisan weavers in Nepal, focusing on curating individual handcrafted heirloom products of unparalleled quality and beauty.
Through KASMIRI, Anna has created a bespoke international brand that offers premium luxury cashmere accessories while directly supporting the women artisans who weave them while preserving traditional artisanal techniques.
This connection to community and commitment to ethical production is what sets KASMIRI apart. With every piece that is crafted, Anna helps women tell their stories, sharing their history, traditions, and culture with her customers. For Anna, the brand presents the culmination of her life’s work and offers her the chance to continue to give back to a community that she grew to love.
“On my first visit to Nepal many years ago, I purchased a rich Tibetan Red cashmere shawl from the artisan weavers. I wore it when I met my husband Sir Ray Avery in Nepal and it became a cherished keepsake of my travels around the world and in motherhood. When my first daughter was born, I wrapped her in the shawl to keep her warm during her first few months of life. It’s soft and comforting and holds countless memories of my life and travels. When you wear a KASMIRI product it is the start of all your life’s adventures”.

Our box uses Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper that is acid sulphur and lignin-free, which means it can be recycled. However, your box is made to be kept for a long time and its purpose is to provide a wonderful unboxing experience and for storing your cashmere.
